Silver Tree Steiner School has partnered with Edstart to improve school fee payment options for our families. Commencing January 2023, the School will no longer be accepting school fees directly or using PaySmart as our direct debit provider. This arrangement is underpinned by a commitment to improving the affordability and accessibility of a Silver Tree education for all families in our community.
What does this mean for me?
- With Edstart Plus, families will have access to more options with their school fee payments, including:
- Options to pay weekly, fortnightly, monthly, per term, or annually – by selecting the schedule that works for you.
- The ability to choose a preferred day for when payments are made.
- The option to spread your fees during the year over a full 12-month period instead of 11 months.
- The flexibility to adjust payments at any time with access to your own payment portal.
Importantly, unlike PaySmart, there are no fees or charges for using Edstart Plus for your Silver Tree Steiner School fees.

What do I need to do?
All families will need to have set up their Edstart account by the 18th November, 2022, in preparation for payment of fees in Term 1 2023. You may, however, start using Edstart from any time – immediately if that suits you.
To set up your Edstart account, please visit edstart.com.au/silvertree. Edstart will then pay your School fees on your behalf when they are due and activate your regular repayments as part of your plan.
Families on a direct debit arrangement with PaySmart will be automatically archived once their current contracts are completed.
Please note that from 1 January 2023, all payments by instalments will only be available through Edstart and the School will no longer be accepting upfront annual or term payments. However, you can pay your fees upfront annually via Edstart Plus if you choose to.
