At Silver Tree Steiner School, our governance and leadership ensure the school delivers a high-quality Steiner education in a safe, ethical, and financially sustainable way.
School Structure
Leadership at Silver Tree is shared across three key groups: the Board, the Leadership Team, and our teaching faculty.
Teachers guide the delivery of the educational, cultural, and pastoral program. Working collaboratively, they determine how the principles of Steiner Education are incorporated into daily school life and how best to meet the needs of the children in their care.
The Leadership Team comprises four administrative roles – Head of School, Education Coordinator, Operational Coordinator and Business Manager – and meets weekly (or more often as required) to ensure smooth school operations. The team gathers ideas, questions, and feedback from their areas of responsibility and works together to implement improvements and initiatives.
The Head of School oversees day-to-day management, implements the strategic plan, operational plans, policies, and budget, and acts as the liaison between staff and the Board.
The Board of Governors is the governing body of Silver Tree Steiner School. The Board ensures the school operates legally, ethically, and sustainably while maintaining a clear separation between governance and operational management. Board members are elected at the AGM and are drawn from the wider community, bringing skills and expertise to support the school.
Policies and Forms
Silver Tree Steiner School is committed to the safety, health, and wellbeing of children and young people. All staff, parents, students, volunteers, and visitors are expected to uphold this commitment. The school strictly forbids any form of child abuse, corporal punishment, or degrading treatment.
Our policies support the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of every student and protect their right to safety at home, school, and in the community.
