“If a child has been able to play, to give up his whole living being to the world around him, he will be able to, in the serious tasks of later life, devote himself with confidence and power to the service of the world.” Rudolf Steiner
Early Childhood (0-7 years) is characterised by children actively learning through imitation, purposeful play and their own creative experience. At Silver Tree Steiner School, the child’s imagination and sense of wonder is fostered through stories, songs, creative play, interaction with nature and involvement in everyday human activity.
We provide environments that are warm and nurturing, where reverence, goodness and a sense of gratitude are cultivated. Foundational skills are grounded in the early years through rich oral and practical learning experiences to prepare adequately for the more formal learning environment of Class One.
